Stone extension
Hello everyone. Here we are again with the 300 words for the blog. My brother James is a newly married man and has gone on his honeymoon to Mexico the Lucky bugger. So I’m writing the blog for you guys this week. We’ve been working on a stone extension in lofthouse right next to the m62. It’s so amazing Loud that we have to have the radio on full blast, just to over power the intense drone of the motorway. When we get home we are thoroughly deaf and need a while to reach full hearing again. The jobs a single story built onto the back of a 1970 bungalow. The stone that the bungalow is built out of is a bit dated and it’s a yellow mustard colour. Unfortunately they don’t make it anymore so we have got a brilliant alternative that the customer are more than happy with. We are matching the stone on the house with lots of different sizes just like the house has, it’s not all course stone it’s all kinds of funky shapes all over the place but it looks fantastic and it’s been a pleasure to work on. When we started the job it was hammering down with rain, super muddy too. The ground resembled what a festival gets like when thousands of people have trampled through the mud! Alas tho this week has been a pleasant change. As the weather has turned super sunny and is to stay that way for the next 10 days. When our James gets back from his honeymoon he’s straight back in the deep end. We are starting another extension over in Horbury, which isn’t as challenging as this one but still rewarding to build. let’s hope that the sun stays shining for when he gets back, or that he brings it back with him. Anyway that’s enough from me, James will return to the blog next week with a scorching sun tan
